Currently Researching: Cognitive Aging, Behavioral Genetics, Service Dogs
I run enzyme-linked immunosorbent assays (ELISAs) to measure hormones like cortisol at the Laboratory for Evolutionary Endocrinology in Primates (LEEP).
I use actigraphy to non-invasively measure exercise and sleep in dogs using OMGUI software.
I use the programming language R to analyze dog demographic, health, behavioral, and cognitive data. I also know some Python, e.g. NumPy.
I collect dog cognitive, developmental, and temperament data using standardized test batteries that take place in the form of fun food-finding games.
As an undergraduate student I was a field research intern at the Duke Lemur Center in Durham, NC, where I conducted an independent research project on laterality in four species of lemurs.
I spent the following summer at Ankoatsifaka Research Station at Kirindy Mitea National Park in Western Madagascar helping a graduate student collect data on feeding behaviors in Verreaux's Sifaka lemurs (Propithecus Verreauxi).
